In studio, recording session

A number of months ago, my good friend (and talented writer!) Nicholas Thurkettle wrote a short film called "Habitat".

I was super excited about the idea: a female astronaut whose ship crashes and she is the sole survivor. I loved the story immediately and was excited about the idea of bringing it to life... We discussed the various ways we could tell the story (short, feature, etc) and then an opportunity arose to do it with The Earbud Theater as a radio play, The radio play was a medium that always fascinated me, but I had never explored. And I loved what Earbud was doing: their mission is "to break free of institutional storytelling limits" and to tell stories that "lean toward the fantastic".

I am so thrilled with the results! I had a blast digging into the script and recording it at a state of the art recording studio. Since then, it has been fine tuned and tweaked and is gearing up to launch tomorrow.

You can check it out for FREE tomorrow on iTunes, Earbud's website or any other major podcaster. Take a listen and let me know what you think!

Micah & ChristineWith Micah on B&B
I'm super excited to write this post about my newest venture: a short film. I wrote the short awhile back and recently unearthed the script. Upon revisiting it, I realized it was something that I still really wanted to make. I've been in the revision process the last few months and am ready to move forward...

Not only will I be acting in the short, but I'll also be directing. I've had years of experience directing young actors as an acting coach in addition to directing both film and theater while I was in college at USC. This is my first professional foray into directing and man am I pumped.

To add to all that excitement, I'll be collaborating with my Bread and Butter co-star Micah Hauptman. I am beyond thrilled to get to act alongside him once again!
